If you have recorded “live to tape” (hard drive) and wish to play a pre-recorded event back as a live event, here are the steps:
1) Make sure your master video file has been processed (or re-processed) to 1280×720 30fps.
2) Use MP4 (H.264) as compression. Wirecast will not play back MPG (MPG2) files.
3) Open Wirecast & add elements to a layer – Media Files > Browse Disk > (choose your file).
4) Top menu – Output > Virtual Camera Out > (check) HD720p & Virtual Microphone
5) Start CamSlicer and connect to Wirecast for audio & video.
NOTE:
You may want to use another layer to run 60-90 seconds of animation / logo to Vuuzle system to insure your connection is correct. Once you see the animation / logo on Vuuzle, you can cut to your master playback file.
Commercial Insertion:
1) Like a live event in CamSlicer – you must manually insert commercial breaks in your file.
2) If you have included commercial breaks in your production, when the video “goes to break” you insert using CamSlicer.
3) You must manually “come out of break” using CamSlicer.
If you have included commercial breaks in your “live to tape” file, they should be 30 seconds long. You will continue to let the master file play during the break.
If you HAVE NOT included commercial breaks in your original production, you can set the Source Properties of the video file to “Remember position even when not live”, use “CUT” in transitions, manually insert your break via CamSlicer, then CUT back to the master video. Wirecast will “remember” your CUT spot and start from there.
