Pre-Event Location Check:
Power / Electricity:
1) Is there sufficient power available?
2) Power reliability – are there switches, breakers on power source?
3) Power logistics – distance from power to webcasting location, number of outlets required?
4) Power safety – will there be people walking across power cords? Are there water issues?
Internet:
1) Is there PRIVATE internet availability?
2) Is internet source shared via WiFi?
3) Is hard-wired (Cat 5 router) service available?
4) Speed Test results on Cat 5 connection?
5) Contact local internet IT person – can we have 10 megs UP of dedicated bandwidth?
6) Has router / system been “cleared” for streaming? Many systems have this feature disabled.
7) Perform PC webcan check at location using CamSlicer.
Physical Setting Requirements:
1) Table, chairs, lighting for table?
2) Isolation – can equipment / cabling be isolated from event attendees?
3) Security – who is responsible for equipment security?
4) Operations – who is responsible for equipment operations? Who is that person’s backup?
5) What is the distance from switcher to cameras?
6) What is the event line-of-sight?
7) What is the available lighting situation? Who controls it?
8) Who is responsible for equipment setup, take-down, transportation & inventory?
9) Bad weather provisions: roll of thick, plastic sheeting, scissors, gaffers tape, garbage bags.
